How do I create a username and a password?

Your username is your email address and the password is anything of your choice when filling out the registration form.

Who and how will I receive my password?

You will choose your own password while filling out your registration. See registration.

Can I use last year’s password?

You need only to register once, your password will give you access to your profile at any given time. Thus if you had an account last year, it is still valid.

How do I place an ad?

You must be a member in order to place an order. Once you have registered, you will access to a reserved zone where you will click on “Place an Ad”.  All you have to do is to follow the instructions displayed on that page.

How do I register a book for sale?

It is very important that you properly identify the book you wish to sell if you want it to be found by our search engine. Each book and novel must be identified by its title. Avoid typing “Novel for sale”. A buyer will search by title, like “The Princess Bride”, you must be precise.

Do I have to be registered to be able to do a search?

You don’t have to be registered to execute a search. In this case, the vendor’s contact information will not available to you.

Will my personal information appear online?

Never is your personal information made public nor is it related to anyone and remains strictly confidential. The vendor indicates the manner he wishes to be contacted: email or by phone. This information is then displayed to the buyer who must also be a member, which allows SESCO to assure on site security.

Why can’t I register more than one book per ad?

Unfortunately, more than one book can not be announced in one ad. The price per ad is a voluntary minimum which allows this service to be accessible and permits SESCO to assure maintenance and online security. Furthermore, the buyer who uses the search engine, can only type in one title at the time. Therefore, an ad with multiple books will not be very efficient because the search may not necessarily give you any results.

How long before my ad appears on the site?

During the busy period, we ask for you to allow 48 hours before your ad is posted. This delay is required for verification of the ad and allows us to assure its conformity with online politics.

My books are in new condition, what price should I sell for?

As the vendor, you are the only one who determines the price. Generally, the price for a used book starts at 50% of the original price if the book is in good conditions.
